FAQ
Have questions about renting a trailer in the Houston or Katy area? You’re in the right place. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our equipment, towing requirements, booking process, delivery options, and rental policies.
We’re based in Katy, Texas, serving the Houston metro area, including Cypress, Sugar Land, and Cinco Ranch. Pickup is available by appointment, and local delivery is offered within a 75-mile radius of Katy.
We rent 20-foot hydraulic power-tilt car and equipment haulers, known as the Blackhawk 720. These heavy-duty trailers have electric-over-hydraulic tilt decks, drive-over fenders, and dual 7,000-lb axles—ideal for vehicles, small machinery, and project materials. Coming soon: dump, enclosed, horse, livestock, and restroom trailers.
Each Blackhawk 720 trailer weighs approximately 2,850 lbs and has a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 14,000 lbs, meaning a payload capacity of about 11,000 lbs.
Important: If you’re hauling more than 5,000 lbs of payload, we strongly recommend using a ¾-ton or larger truck (e.g., Ford F-250, Chevy Silverado 2500, or Ram 2500) for stability and safety on the road.
Most full-size pickups can tow loads under 5,000 lbs. For heavier hauls, use a truck rated for higher Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR). Recommended trucks for towing 7,000–14,000 lbs: • Ford F-250 / F-350 • Chevrolet Silverado 2500 / 3500 • GMC Sierra 2500 / 3500 • Ram 2500 / 3500 • Heavy-duty models with factory towing packages Check your owner’s manual for exact towing capacity before booking.
